Hi, I'm starting this blog to inform people about the Wausau, WI area and our bed & breakfast and encourage them to stay with us while exploring the area. My plan is to focus on one attraction or business each week. In addition, I intend to talk about happenings at the B&B, area events, etc.

Today is a beautiful, warm day with a light breeze. I started the day by visiting the River Drive Farmers Market. What beautiful displays of locally grown fruits, veggies, and flowers! Also available are fresh baked goods, honey, meats, and farm fresh eggs. I ended up with sugar snap peas, black raspberries, and some season's end strawberries. The farmer's market operates Wednesdays and Fridays May to November.

I'm planning to spend some time on our porch this afternoon with my crocheting, enjoying the breeze, and chatting with neighbors who happen by. Summer in Wisconsin goes by so fast, I really have to make a point of stopping to savor it.
